Skydiving

of high altitude with the aid of gravity. Dubai is among the leading skydiving
destinations in the world with its offer of stunning skydive locations, world

The History of Skydiving
The
first skydive jump was performed in 1797 by Andre’- Jacques Garnerin who jumped
from a hydrogen balloon flying at an altitude of 980 metres above Paris. Garnerin
used a crude silk parachute without any packing and deployment. The first
freefall jump with parachute deployment was done by Leslie Irvin in 1919.
Through
the years, numerous advancements in parachute equipment and techniques have
been done to ensure safety in the sport.
