Burj Khalifa has three observation decks which are open to the public for an amazing view of Dubai city. The observation decks on the building which are referred to as ‘At the top’ are located on levels 124, 125 and 148 of the building.

Burj Khalifa Observation decks

Level 124

This is the lowest observation deck on the Burj Khalifa and is at 452 meters.

Level 125

This is the preceding level at 456 meters. It connects to level 124 via a staircase enabling visitors to go back and forth on both decks.

Level 148

This level is at 555 meters and holds the title of the highest observatory in the world. This deck was opened in 2014 unlike the first two which were opened when the Burj Khalifa was built.

●        After learning about Burj Khalifa, move on to the elevator which takes you to the observation decks. The elevator travels at 10 meters per second to whisk you to the top in less than a minute.

●        The first level visited is Level 124.  This level has a spacious outdoor platform where you can walk out and see the views out in the open. There are special telescopes to view the scenes from below up close and hence appreciate them much more.

●        Level 125 is directly above Level 124 and can be accessed by visitors on a spiral staircase connecting the two floors.

●        To move onto Level 148, you have to take another elevator to reach this level from level 124. The real fun begins at Level 148 which is referred to as ‘At the top sky’. This level is at 555 meters and is a bit narrow because of the tapered design of the Burj Khalifa but it offers the most incredible views of Dubai. From this level, you get a 360 degree view of Dubai and get to spot some of the most iconic sights in the city. These include the areas of Downtown Dubai, Business bay, Dubai creek, and other skyscrapers along Sheikh Zayed Road.  You can even get a glimpse of the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel out in the distance.

●        Level 148 also has a sky lounge for you to relax as you enjoy the views.

●        The average time allowed for visitors to stay at the observation decks is 90 minutes. Visitors are however allowed to take their time and extend their stay depending on peak seasons.

●        Outdoor terraces may be closed during times of severe weather for safety purposes.

●        Smart audio devices are available for rent for visitors to learn about the story of Burj Khalifa’s engineering and architecture.

●        Wifi coverage is available during the tour.

●        Children under 4 years old get free entry

●        Photo kiosks are available to capture moments during the observation deck tours.

●        Tickets cancellation is allowed up to 72 hours prior to the visit.

●        Visitors are not allowed to take luggage or shopping bags to the observation decks. Bags can be stored at a check room near at the entrance and collected while leaving.

●        Ticket Refunds for poor weather conditions are not allowed since good weather conditions cannot be guaranteed.

●        For safety purposes, avoid bringing items such as alcohol, knives, glass bottles, firearms or ammunition to the observation decks.
