History of Bollywood Dubai Park

The project was proposed by Thomas Jellum, the Danish general manager of Dubai Parks and Resorts. The idea was to build a park with attractions centered on blockbuster films of Hindu Cinema. The park combines Bollywood’s showy stage presence of song and dance to create a family friendly atmosphere for visitors.

Bollywood Dubai Park zones

The park covers a total of 1.7 million square feet which are divided into five different zones. Bollywood Dubai Park celebrates Mumbai’s iconic film industry in these zones which are inspired by Bollywood blockbuster movies where you will get to enjoy live entertainment ranging from theatre performances of songs and dance and go on cinematic rides.

Bollywood Boulevard

This is the first section of Bollywood Dubai Park. Get to start your tour at the park on a high by watching a live dance show or a live Bollywood rock band. The boulevard also has stores to buy merchandise, Indian street food and sit down cafes for a refreshing drink.

Mumbai Chowk

The second section; Mumbai Chowk brings the city of Mumbai to life by displaying a replica of the city’s well known Victoria station. The replica even has a train carriage which serves Maharash cuisine.

Rustic Ravine

Rustic Ravine is built to resemble rural Indian villages featured in Classic Bollywood films. Another one is a 3D ride with laser guns to fight off villains on Sholay; The hunt for Gabbar Singh. 

Other fun events at the rustic ravine include watching a Nautanki folk songs and dance at an open air stage.

Royal Plaza

The fourth section, Royal plaza is home to the RajMahal theatre which is designed to resemble the Taj Mahal. The theatre has a capacity of 850 and showcases nightly musical productions inspired by Bollywood.

You also get to take great pictures on the theatre to which looks like the iconic Taj Mahal.

Bollywood Film Studios

This is the last section of Bollywood Dubai Park which takes you behind the scenes of movie making. In Bollywood studios, you get to learn how Bollywood films are made.
